Ending 2018 and Seeing in the New Year

Wow what a year, 2018 has been a rollercoaster. With all the ups and downs this year, can honestly say that it has been the best year of our life. This was the year our family started, it was the year that Benjamin came into our lives.

Looking back on the year, so much has happened. It seems like only yesterday that we were bringing Ben home for the first time. Remember carrying him to a hire car in the snow, having had an accident the previous week. Looking at Ben now, can’t believe how much he has grown, and see his little personality shine through. Not really sure how to put these emotions into words.

The Web Site

Family Friendly Essex was started this year, sadly we haven’t been able to throw ourselves at it as much as we would have liked. The site shows this, with only 4 attractions covered. This is a little disappointing, considering that we usually go out every weekend to somewhere new.

The website is sparse for one key reason, time. We were naive, we completely underestimated the time required to post good content. There is also the added time required to take decent images and video for each of the attractions that we visited. All of this in spare time, which we didn’t have much of as new parents. However, this isn’t good enough, and 2019 will be different. We want to post more content.

2019 a New Start

So what is going to change in 2019, to allow us to create more content? There are still the same number of hours in a day, and days in a week. What’s different?

Benjamin will be starting nursery in February, which will give him more of a routine of play and rest. As a result of Benjamin going to nursery, I will be condensing my hours at work, so I’m no longer going to be working Fridays.

With me not working Fridays, I will be able to take Ben out for the day and spend a decent amount of time gathering information, images and video for posts of the attraction that we visit. Along with spending more time with him, and less in the office.

Thank You

We would like to thank you for sticking with us, even though there hasn’t been much to stick around for. We love sharing the places we have been, and the fact that you’re reading this means so much to us.

Traction has been slow with growing the audience for Family Friendly Essex, so it would be fantastic if you could share our posts, and facebook page if you find any our reviews or posts useful.
